It allows you a high level of notification management so you can set times you're available / unavailable for communication. Channels

Channels are Slack's chat room organized by topic or by team members. We can create a channel for accounting, a channel for, sermon topics, a channel for live service communication, anything you want! Anyone can create a channel and invite members to join.

Getting started

First, you'll need a slack account. You can sign up here: https://northlandschurch.slack.com/signup

To get setup, follow this guide from Slack's website. You can download the app on your mac, PC, or iPad, iPhone, or Android devices.
